Privacy
Australian Sailing recognises that privacy is important and providing personal information is an act of trust. Australian Sailing takes that seriously, and will manage your Information only in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at: https://www.sailing.org.au/about/privacy-policy/
Individuals must promptly advise their Affiliated Club of any change of name, address or other relevant identification and contact details, either in writing or electronically.
Individuals acknowledge and consent to Australian Sailing’s use of their personal information for the purpose of sending electronically or by other means, newsletters from Australian Sailing and Affiliated Clubs, which may include information of sponsors or other third parties.

Our Code of Conduct
Chelsea Yacht Club is proud of its philosophy as a welcoming and inclusive club that encourages all members, their families and their guests to learn, live and love the sea.
Members and visitors have a duty to ensure that they uphold the club philosophy at all times through their actions and behaviour on the water, the beach and within the club facilities.The purpose of this Code of Conduct (Code) is to define the type of behaviour which is encouraged and expected by Chelsea Yacht Club Inc. (CYC).
Who This Policy Applies To
- CYC members and their guests
- Individuals sitting on committees and sub-committees
- Members, including Life Members
- Race and other officials
- Sailors
- Employees and volunteers
- Parents, guardians and spectators to the full extent that it is possible
Key Principles
CYC strives to be an inclusive, fair and non-discriminatory club where people show respect for others and their property in an environment free from harassment.
CYC members acknowledge and agree that this Code has a direct relationship with the CYC Constitution and Sailing Rules. Members agree that any breach may result in action being taken under the grievance procedures adopted by the club and set out in the rules.
CYC Member Acknowledgements
Each CYC member agrees to;
- Not act in a manner unbecoming or contrary to the interests of CYC
- Treat people with courtesy, respect and with proper regard for their rights and privileges as a CYC member
- Always place the safety and welfare of children above other considerations
- Respect the decisions of officials and the CYC committee
- Comply with CYC policies and Procedures
- Comply with all relevant Australian laws (Federal and State), particularly antidiscrimination and child protection laws
- Be accountable and responsible for their conduct
- Operate within the spirit of the sport
