Chelsea Yacht Club Moving Forward in the Next Chapter of Development
Club Now Open
New members are most welcome. We welcome sailing and social members and offer individual and family memberships plus great deals for juniors and young people. See our Membership and Registration pages for further info.
After a significant period of being closed for renovations, the Chelsea Yacht Club is now open. Supported by the City of Kingston, the building renewal programn has bought a new lease of life into the club building, whose origins stem back to 1938. Driven by accessibility requirements, the club building renewal includes a lift, remodelling of all facilities including bar, kitchen and restrooms. For club members this means modern facilities and an expanding range of services.
The Bay Room, with unrivaled views of the bay, is available for you to hire for that special celebration or corporate event/meeting. We also host regular social events, community dinners and music at the beach sessions open to both members and the community.
We run an extensive program of Try Sailing and Start Sailing Programs that are open to anyone- you don't need to be a member!
Our Members Bar is open year round Friday evening, from 5pm with meals available cooked by our chef Scotty, and Saturday afternoons from 4pm. Come and watch the sunset across beautiful Chelsea Beach with us.

This unique facility is currently being equiped with a mezzanine, loading racks and alifting hoist. It will be open for existing and new members very shortly.
The club was established 1938, and has been at its current site on the Chelsea Foreshore for eighty years. See our History page to learn more about the foundation and development of the club.
