Longbeach Sail Training Centre
The Chelsea Yacht Club — Longbeach Sail Training Centre, offers a range of training programs throughout the year to suit all ages and levels of experience.
The Centre aims is to provide a rewarding, enjoyable and safe introduction to being on the water, and to increase the number of participants in the Club’s sailing programs.
As an accredited Yachting Australia Training Centre, all training complies with Yachting Australia's safety and teaching guidelines, including the use of qualified Yachting Australia instructors. The Centre complies with the Victorian Government’s "Working with Children" legislation, with all staff and volunteers screened for their suitability to work with children. Trainees are encouraged to extend their skills and knowledge by joining the Clubs racing program, or by working on the rescue boats or in the race control tower. Experienced club members are always ready to assist and offer advice to newcomers. Trainees are full club members and are welcome to use the club’s facilities and enjoy its social life on and off the water.
