Sailing

At Chelsea Yacht Club there are many different classes sailing each weekend Chelsea Yacht Club caters for all types of off-the-beach boats, both catamarans and mono hulls. With so many different boats sailing each weekend there is sure to be a class that matches your likings. Or maybe you might want to try your hand at crewing? With so many different classes it becomes very exciting when sailing. One of the things that every sailor at the club will tell you is, once you've been and come back for a second go, you're hooked.

After sailing for the day it's then time to get together in the members bar and talk about the days events. So many times you'll hear "I was in front until..." and "did you see that cartwheel?" or "I was nearly clean out of the water" and there's heaps more. These are just some of the great times which can take place when you're involved with sailing at a club. Can't forget the parties and the social events..... nothing but fun.

Junior and Senior Training:
Junior & Senior Training is run from and is part of Chelsea Yacht Club. It is an accredited sailing school for both junior and senior sailors. Training programs are run throughout the year on a Saturday morning with many renowned coaches participating, aimed at different levels of sailing.

Racing:
At Chelsea Yacht Club we give our members every opportunity to compete in sailing events at all levels of the sport. The club is often host to State and Australian sailing regattas and this gives our own members opportunity and experience to sail in such events.

A number of different classes of Mono and Cats sail at Chelsea and emphasis is given to adopted class racing but adequate provision is also made for members sailing the numerically strong miscellaneous division.

Chelsea Yacht Club prides itself on its friendly atmosphere and makes sure that new members quickly feel at home whether you are a beginner or seasoned sailor.

The different Classes sailing at Chelsea Yacht Club are: Javelin, Tasar, Cherub, Pacer, 125, Sharpie, Flying Ants, Laser, Windrush and so many more.
